Nikon’s latest announcement, unveiling the AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4E ED, AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR, and AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED lenses. To make sure you are ready to capture your summer adventures, Nikon has announced an updated tough camera, the COOLPIX W300 point-and-shoot, which sports improved durability and the ability to record 4K video.
Extremely specialized and extremely interesting, Nikon’s latest fisheye, the 8-15mm, offers users the ability to adjust focal length quickly to match certain compositions, as well as deliver both 180° circular images at 8mm or full-frame coverage when zoomed in. It also uses ED glass to minimize chromatic aberrations and reduce color fringing, and it has a Nano Crystal Coat to combat flare and ghosting. On top of this, it has the latest E-type electromagnetic diaphragm for added exposure consistency during continuous shooting.

Next on the list is a high-end fast prime, the 28mm f/1.4. With a versatile and widely appreciated focal length for looking for a fast and wide-but-not-too-wide option for street and general-purpose shooting, this lens will provide outstanding quality and performance. It features ED glass for keeping aberrations controlled, especially when working wide open, and a Nano Crystal Coat for minimal flare and ghosting. Additionally, it sports an E-type diaphragm, for fast, consistent performance.
The last lens announced today will appeal to DX-format shooters who want a compact and wide-angle zoom, the 10-20mm. This lens will provide a 15-30mm equivalent zoom range, matching a common option for full-frame cameras, and it even has Vibration Reduction to help capture sharp images in low light, with longer shutter speeds or during video capture. A variable f/4.5-5.6 helps keep the lens small and lightweight while a pulse stepping motor system provides smooth, silent focusing for stills and video.

Today isn’t just for lenses, however, because Nikon has just lifted the covers on the COOLPIX W300 Digital Camera, a tough point-and-shoot that now shoots 4K video. With waterproofing to 100′ and improved shock-proofing of up to 8′, this pocketable camera will be an excellent companion on all of your expeditions. The camera also features a 5x optical zoom lens for wide-angle to telephoto perspectives for capturing vast landscapes and getting sharp close-ups. A major improvement is the addition of 4K recording for extremely high-res video. And, as with most of Nikon’s latest camera announcements, this camera is equipped with a built-in GPS as well as Snapbridge via the implementation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
